Henry David Thoreau wrote a novel named “Walden” (also known as “Life in the Woods”) based on the time he spent living in isolation at Walden Pond. Throughout the book, simplicity is a common theme. This redesigned edition of Walden focuses only on the concept of simplicity. Wooden covers and natural hued parchment paper enhance the simplistic beauty of an uninhabited place. Inside the covers, the pages have large empty margins and small writing. It is hand-bound with a Coptic stitch binding technique that does not use glue or other artificial adhesives.
This book was a deeply personal project that was eventually presented at a gallery exhibition in 2017.
